Recently, the initiative More than Tennis has been implemented in Burgos, being 12 the schools where this project driven by Rafa Nadal Foudation and Special Olymics is being developed. With More than Tennis, both organizations work in order to promote the practice of sport, – particularly tennis – amongst young people with some intellectual disabilities.

At this point in time, there are 8 players registered in Burgos who train daily in one of the tennis courts from El Plantío complex, where has been created the Sportive Tennis School directed to people with some intellectual disability. This is the second centre in Castilla and Leon region, a part of the one in Valladolid. Soon there will be a third school in Palencia.
