Robinson Classic golf tournament, five years in support of the Foundation

The Rafa Nadal Foundation was the organisation chosen to benefit from the funds raised at the XXIX Robinson Classic golf tournament, which was held at Mallorca’s Vall d’Or Golf club on 9th October. The tournament was followed by a lunch and a charity auction. Rafa Nadal Homar, the uncle of the tennis star, was on hand to collect the cheque in the name of the Foundation.

This is the fifth occasion that the Robinson Classic has raised funds for the Rafa Nadal Foundation. Monti Galmés, Managing Director of Robinson Hotels in Spain and Portugal explains why the tournament continues to support the Foundation: “We are sure that the donations are in good hands, it’s a guarantee of confidence and trust. The results show that it has been a great success; and over the five years we have been able to raise over €150,000 for the Rafa Nadal Foundation.”

Of the tournament, Galmés says; “Next year, the Robinson Classic golf tournament will celebrate its 30th anniversary, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious in Mallorca, so together with the team from Vall d’Or, we will give our body and soul to ensuring that it’s a memorable day for the participants. It’s a classic of the circuit. Dedicating the tournament to the Rafa Nadal Foundation has been an added extra for the global prestige of the event.”
