The Rafa Nadal Foundation launches the charity race ‘Better Together’
The city of Palma will host the first edition of the ‘Millor Junts’ [‘Better Together’] charity race on 27th May. An initiative of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, the race aims to promote healthy physical activity and sporting values. With Meliá Hotels International as the main sponsor, the event will also raise funds for the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre, which cares for socially vulnerable children and young people.
The race will take place in the streets of the Nou Llevant and La Soledat neighbourhoods, and will have three routes – of 7km, 3km and 750m – with the aim of ensuring that as many people as possible can take part in this day of sports and fun. The starting point of the run will be the complex of the new Palacio de Congresos de Palma, managed by Meliá Hotels International, while the finish line will be located at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre, where there will also be activities for kids and other attractions.
Registration for any of the three categories can be made at www.elitechip.net. The cost is 10 euros, though it is possible to make a larger donation, given that the funds will go to charity. Additionally, those wish to collaborate without taking part in the race can use Dorsal 0, an alternative that allows you to be part of the event without being present.
The Rafa Nadal Foundation and Meliá Hotels International, both of which have a presence in the neighbourhood, join forces with the aim of positively influencing their surroundings, enhancing the celebration of activities in the area and contributing to the improvement of the neighbourhood and to the quality of life of its inhabitants.
