Coaches from the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar visit India

Two tennis coaches from the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, recently visited the Educational Centre Anantapur, in India, where they trained with students of the school and held a course for the coaches at the centre, which is run by the Foundation in this humble area of India.

“We have shown them the methodology of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar and given them some advice that can be useful on a day to day basis for the continued training of the children”, explained Aitor, one of the academy coaches. “It was very fruitful, the coaches of the centre asked us a lot of questions and you could tell that they were very keen to keep learning and improving,” he added.

Raduan, the other coach to visit the centre, was the coordinator of the project three years ago. Happy to meet with his former colleagues and students, Raduan explained that there have been many changes since that time: “apart from improvements in the facilities, I can see that the coaches and teachers are more professional, and are even more committed to the project. I also have the feeling that the boys and girls, and their families, are more aware of the benefits of regularly attending the centre. It’s clear that the project has developed a lot over the years”.
