Second ‘Junts Millor’ charity race set for 11th March in Palma

The Rafa Nadal Foundation will celebrate the second edition of the ‘Millor Junts’ (Better Together) charity race on Sunday 11th March in one of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods of Palma. As well as promoting healthy physical activity and the values of sport, this family-orientated initiative aims to raise funds for the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre, which attends to socially vulnerable children and young people in the Mallorcan capital.

The race, of which Melià Hotels International is the main sponsor, is devised to ensure that everyone can participate throughout the day, making it attraction for the whole family.

The course will traverse the streets of the Nou Llevant and La Soledat neighbourhoods with three different routes; one of 7km (adult category), one of 3km (junior category) and one of 750m (children’s category). This edition will also see the introduction of a Nordic walking category for adults, with a distance of 3km. The starting point for all categories will be the Palacio de Congresos de Palma, managed by Melià Hotels international, while the finishing line will be located at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre.

Registration for the event is already open, via www.elitechip.net. The entry fee is 10 Euros, though participants can also opt to make a larger donation, with the funds going to charitable causes. Additionally, those that wish to show their solidarity by donating without signing up for the race can do so via Dorsal 0, which can be accessed on the same website.

With ‘Millor Junts’, the Rafa Nadal Foundation and Meliá Hotels International – both of which have a presence in the neighbourhood – join forces with the aim of positively influencing their surroundings, contributing to the improvement of the neighbourhood and to the quality of life of its inhabitants.
