The 6th edition of the Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre, held to the benefit of the Foundation, celebrates its final tournament.

The 6th edition of the junior tennis tournament Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre came to an end after six competitions and a final master held in different Spanish cities. The final phase of the tour, the master, took place at the facilities of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar in Manacor (Mallorca), from the 18th to the 20th of September, where 32 qualified players participated. One aspect to be emphasized is that the Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre is a charity tournament, since all economic profits are allocated to fund educational and sport projects carried out by the Rafa Nadal Foundation.
“I hope that, besides competing, you can also enjoy along with other players, take the most of the experience and, most importantly, have a good time”, Rafa Nadal told the participants via video message, since he could not be present as he is playing the Laver Cup in Geneva. “I encourage you to do you your best, push yourselves and compete with the right attitude. I wish you the best of luck”, added the tennis player.
Additionally, during the master tournament there were other activities parallel to the competition, such as dynamic games and a gymkhana to promote sport values, which are the main focus and one of the special features of the tour. In fact, out of the 32 participants in the master, 4 of them were qualified by winning the Values Trophy ―those who acted with positive values and an appropriate attitude and behavior.
Before this last tournament that took place in Mallorca, the Rafa Nadal Tour by Mapfre 2019 has been also held in Barcelona, Seville, Valldoreix (Barcelona), Valencia, Alicante and Bilbao. In all, 1400 young players from 56 different nationalities have participated in the tour, exceeding 2500 applications.
