The Rafa Nadal Foundation celebrates 10 years in Madrid

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary, the Rafa Nadal Foundation has organized a presentation event on Wednesday, November 17 at the Pérez – Llorca Auditorium in Madrid.

Rafael Nadal, founding patron, María Francisca Perelló, director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation and Eunate Gómez, project manager, participated in this event, who have been in charge of presenting the memory of the ten years of the foundation and announcing the projects that will be carried out during the next years.

“The transformative power of sport” is the title of the book that summarizes a decade of care for girls, boys and young people, through the foundation’s projects. There is the possibility of downloading this file through this page.

Professionals from different third sector entities and representatives of institutions related to sport and education attended the event.

Rafael Nadal recalled the beginnings of this very personal project, Eunate Gómez has brought us closer to each of the programs carried out in Spain and India and María Francisca Perelló has announced the upcoming opening of a Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in the neighborhood of San Fermín, in Madrid, and has expressed the intention of the foundation to continue expanding its scope and impact.

The event ended with an inspiring speech by Rafael, who has reflected on the enormous transformative power of sport, the responsibility he has as a public person and an elite athlete to help others through projects such as those of the foundation.

On November 18, the celebration continued with a party at the Italian Consulate attended by authorities from the community of Madrid, representatives of institutions, businessmen, friends and family who have been part of this decade of impact.

In this private dinner hosted by the presenter Isabel Jiménez, there have been performances by Sara Baras and Vanessa Martín, in addition to the dinner prepared by chef Dani García. In this act Rafael Nadal was present as host and Ana María Parera, president, who dedicated some affectionate words to the attendees.
