THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION PRESENT AT THE “EUROS DE TU NÓMINA” AWARDS CEREMONY OF BANCO SANTANDER

The Rafa Nadal Foundation has been awarded in the social call "Euros from your payroll" promoted by Banco Santander among its workers.

In these awards, it is the employees themselves who present the projects and also who decide, by voting, which are the winners. In 2022, 196 projects from 168 social entities have been presented, 2,700 employees have participated and €537,114 have been raised.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation Center has been one of the projects chosen within the category of social inclusion.

On Tuesday, September 27, the awards ceremony was held at the Círculo de Bellas Artes with the presidency of Her Majesty Queen Letizia and the presence of Ana Patricia Botín, president of Banco Santander.

Maribel Nadal, sister of Rafael Nadal and daughter of Ana María Parera, president of the Foundation, has been in charge of attending the event and collecting the award on behalf of the entity.

Her Majesty the Queen has highlighted that "civil society in our country is strong, supportive, powerful in many areas: assistance, attention, accompaniment, defense of people who do not have recognized rights, or are being violated, or are in a situation of helplessness, vulnerability, loneliness, suffering”.

Ana Botín, president of Banco Santander, thanked the Queen for her participation and the commitment she has always shown to social causes and praised the work carried out by NGOs: "With your effort and professionalism you transform the lives, for the better, of thousands of people. If there is something that makes me get up every day with enthusiasm, it is the ability of our work to impact the lives of many people. You help us to multiply that impact, your work is a source of inspiration”.
