THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION CELEBRATES AN EVENT IN THE CAJA MÁGICA TO INAUGURATE THE NEW COURSE of the rafa nadal foundation center in madrid

The event held on Thursday, October 27, was attended by Sofía Miranda, Councilor for Sports of the Madrid City Council, Eunate Gómez, Project Manager of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, and athletes Varo Hernandez, BMX, and Stefy Navarro, parkour.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation organizes an event at Caja Mágica to celebrate the start of the new course at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid with the presence of the Sports Department of the Madrid City Council.

Eunate Gómez, Project Manager of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, on behalf of the foundation, thanked the support of the Madrid City Council and especially Sofía Miranda, Councilor for Sports of the Madrid City Council, for her availability to facilitate the project and for the transfer of a space in the Caja Mágica where sports activities take place.

The athletes Varo Hernández, who competes in BMX cycling, and Stefy Navarro, a parkour professional, were present at the event to share a talk with the minors and later demonstrate their disciplines. Both athletes have left inspiring messages for the girls and boys of the center.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid cares for minors in vulnerable situations in the San Fermín neighborhood through sports, educational and psychosocial support activities.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation inaugurated this project in the capital last year thanks to the support of Endesa as its main ally.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid has increased its places to care for 100 minors and their families, doubling the transforming impact in the area.

In addition, the project has managed to weave networks with institutions and organizations in the area to work together to improve the lives of minors and has been very well received in the neighbourhood.

The alliance between the Rafa Nadal Foundation and the Sports Delegation of the Madrid City Council has made it possible to carry out the sports activities of the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Madrid thanks to the transfer of the sports space within the Caja Mágica.

Thanks to the Madrid City Council, the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center has top-level facilities to carry out sports intervention with the 100 minors served each year.
