THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION PRESENT AT THE “SPORT THAT TRANSFORMS” CONFERENCE

The Deporte Joven Foundation of the Higher Sports Council and the High Commissioner for the fight against Child Poverty have organized the conference “Sport That Transforms” in the Congress of Deputies, with the aim of analyzing the importance of sport as a tool for transformation and development for vulnerable children.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation has been invited to contribute its vision in relation to good practices from the experience of its projects in Spain and India.

This forum serves as a meeting point between companies, organizations, public administrations and federations, as well as boys, girls and young people, actively involved in the fight against child poverty, through sport.

Eunate Gómez, Project Manager of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, has been in charge of presenting, in a virtual way, some keys to good practices for the development of the projects, taking as a reference the methodology of the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers that have been active since 2014.

The objective of this space is to analyze, identify and define the benefits of sport as a key instrument for the transformation and integration into society of children and young people in situations of poverty or risk of social exclusion, and to design implementation strategies.
