RESOUNDING SUCCESS AT THE XXXIII ROBINSON CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT IN SUPPORT OF THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION

On Saturday, September 2nd, the prestigious Vall d’Or Golf Cala Serena Club hosted a new edition of the Robinson Classic Charity Golf Tournament, an event held annually on the island. In this thirty-third edition, the golfing community came together once again to support the projects of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, achieving an extraordinary fundraising total of €117,000.

During the product auction, one of the event participants acquired a package of items, including the sneakers, the shirt and racket used by Rafael Nadal in the 2022 Roland Garros tournament, where the tennis player emerged as the champion, for a value of €55,000.

This amount, combined with all the sales made at the event, the fees, and various donations from attendees, contributed to this exceptional fundraising achievement.

The tournament provided participants with a unique experience on one of Mallorca’s most iconic golf courses. Players not only enjoyed a day filled with thrilling shots and friendly competition but also made a significant contribution to the charitable projects of the Rafa Nadal Foundation.

In the closing ceremony of the event, Rafael Nadal, a renowned world tennis player and founding trustee, was present to receive the check on behalf of the Rafa Nadal Foundation.

The total fundraising of €117,000 at the XXXIII Robinson Classic Golf Tournament is a testament to the commitment and generosity of the golfing community and all those who joined this cause. These funds will be dedicated entirely to the projects of the Rafa Nadal Foundation in Spain and India.

This edition of the Robinson Classic marks a milestone in the tournament’s history by far exceeding fundraising expectations. In its previous eight editions, the tournament has provided over €250,000 in funds for the projects of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, establishing itself as a benchmark charity event in the world of golf and demonstrating that sports can be a powerful tool for social change.
