THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION PRESENT AT DEMOS 2024: PHILANTHROPY FOR THE FUTURE

Fani Ginard, Partnerships Manager of the Rafa Nadal Foundation, attended DEMOS 2024, a key event organized by the Spanish Association of Foundations that brought together experts and representatives from the third sector at CaixaForum València on September 30 and October 1, 2024.

Under the slogan “Philanthropy for the Future,” this eighth edition of the forum has been a space for reflection on the philanthropic legacy that will be left for future generations and the crucial role of intergenerational solidarity.

The event gathered foundations, third sector entities, and young people committed to a more sustainable world, addressing fundamental topics such as health, well-being, climate change, and future social structures.

DEMOS 2024 stood out as a meeting point where the exploration of how young people can shape the philanthropy of tomorrow took place, with a focus on the causes that motivate them and the actions they wish to undertake.

During the event, various parallel activities were carried out, including a philanthropic tree where participants left their mark as a symbol of commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, attendees enjoyed speed meetings, where they had the opportunity to connect with different foundations and explore potential collaborations.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation considers intergenerational dialogue and cooperation among different social actors vital to addressing contemporary challenges. Participation in DEMOS 2024 has allowed the foundation to share its vision on the importance of empowering young people and encouraging their involvement in projects that promote collective well-being.

The team from ‘Viviendo del cuento’ was responsible for leading the sessions, offering unique experiences that fostered emotional connections among participants.
