Rafa Nadal Foundation visited last 12th December Integration and Sport project in Granada that, since 2010, develops together with Aldeas Infantiles SOS. Ana María Parera, President of the Foundation, accompanied by Javier González Vigili, Regional Director from Aldeas Infantiles SOS from Andalucía, knew first hand the facilities where the project is developed, guided by the children beneficiaries. She discovered the games and sports activities conducted there and she participated in a video forum with the children from the program.
After exchange views with the educators of Integration and Sport, Ana Maria Parera applauded the results being obtained with the project: "through sport, we see how children and young people develop positive skills. In addition we have observed how increases its capacity to meet the challenges of daily life and in relation to their environment".
Integration and Sport program, currently active in Barcelona, Granada and Zaragoza, helps giving a chance to more than 170 children and young people at risk of exclusion. Education through the participation in various sporting activities that the program proposed, enables integration, education and improving behaviors, values, capabilities and limitations of the young people.
