Last week Rafa Nadal took part in a charity football match for the earthquake victims in Japan. The American-league football team, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, came head to head with a team of tennis players. Rafa played alongside Djokovic, Bagdhatis, Verdasco, Ferrer, Marrero, Ramírez Hidalgo, and the Japanese player Kei Nishikori. All didn´t matter, it was a good entertainment anyway and the goals were scored for those worst affected by the earthquake. Although Andy Murray and Marcos Bagdhatis managed to put a couple of balls in the net, the tennis players lost to the Strikers.

The proceeds were allocated to American Red Cross activities in the Asian country affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Once again, the players demonstrated their charitable side, and among them was Rafa, the founding sponsor of the Rafa Nadal Foundation.
