During the Monte Carlo tournament, Rafa signed and dedicated the book entitled “The World of Rafael Nadal: 30 tips on how to improve your game” to fans attending the event. The book was written by his friend and tennis coach Luca Appino, in collaboration with Toni Nadal. Appino compiled a total of 30 unpublished, exclusive articles about Rafa’s life. The book has been been published in three languages (Spanish, French, and English) and contains a series of unique photographs taken by Gianni Caccia.

During the book signing, Rafa personally invited readers to follow the advice of his friend Luca. Toni Nadal expressed his satisfaction at having contributed to the book, and its author, Luca Appino, said it was an excellent idea for helping young people and those around them to give the best of themselves, on a human level as well as in the world of tennis. Part of the proceeds from the book, which is now on sale at Proshop, will go to the Rafa Nadal Foundation and to its cooperation and development proposals to help children.

The following week, which coincided with his trip to Barcelona to compete in the Barcelona Open Banco Sabadell, Rafa presented the book entitled “Juego, set y partido” (Game, Set, and Match). The book, aimed at children aged 9 and above, is a fictional story written by Jordi Serra i Fabra and inspired by Rafa’s life. It tells of the early adventures of Sergio, a young boy who was very talented in two different sports which he practiced at the same time (tennis and football) and who, when he was only 12, had to make his first big decision in life; to choose one or the other.

The book, written in Spanish and available in all major bookshops in Spain, is a joint initiative by the Rafa Nadal Foundation, Iberostar Foundation, and publishers Destino Infantil y Juvenil, with which they hope to disseminate values such as effort, dedication and comradeship, as well as to encourage reading among young people.

Proceeds from the book will go directly to the Rafa Nadal Foundation, for the implementation of their first charity projects to help disadvantaged children.
