Integration and Sport, and the family

During the visit to Zaragoza, plus learn about the children that participate in the program, Rafa Nadal Foundation had the opportunity to meet the families of children who participate in the stress control techniques workshop organized by the Day Centre. Fathers and mothers said that “change has been noticed in a few time: now children behave better and have more respect between themselves and towards others”. They also stand out that “the relationship with school is easier, because often the monitors act as a bridge”.

Then the Foundation team met with school management and the educators from the Integration and Sport programme, which the two organizations jointly promote with the aim of favour the personal and social development of children and youth at social exclusion risk. The project monitors noted that, for children “the centre is very important as shelter space, so that they feel taken into account”, just like the importance of “integration of family in all the process”.
