More than Tennis
The Más Que Tenis project has been running since 2010 to support young athletes with intellectual disabilities through tennis.
The More Than Tennis Schools are distributed throughout the national territory.
Objective and methodology
With the More than Tennis project we promote the practice of this sport among young people with intellectual disabilities, belonging to Special Olympics Spain.
In addition to improving psychomotor skills -such as dexterity or coordination-, the athletes who participate in the program internalize attitudes and behaviors such as effort and perseverance, acquire healthy habits, and reinforce the feeling of belonging and their integration in society.
With More than Tennis we offer participants an environment where they can share experiences, make friends, have fun, excel and improve day by day, reinforce their self-esteem, etc.

More Than Tennis National Meeting
Every year we celebrate the More Than Tennis National Tournament, with the participation of young people from the project from all over Spain.
In addition to matches between athletes, the event includes the unified sport modality, in which tennis players with and without disabilities play together in order to favor their inclusion in society and promote their acceptance and equality.
