Specifically, the electricity company has donated 400,000 \u20ac which will be allocated to the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centers in Palma and Valencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionrafanadal.org\/en\/proyecto-centro-fundacion-rafa-nadal.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Palma\u2019s center<\/a>, the plan is to increase the number of professionals \u2014educators, sports technicians,\u00a0 psychologists and social workers\u2014, and thus be ready to assist and give individual support to the growing number of beneficiaries, regarding the different areas of work \u2014education, sport and psychotherapy\u2014, as well as other direct needs related to food and hygiene. As for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionrafanadal.org\/en\/proyecto-centro-fundacion-rafa-nadal-valencia.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Valencia<\/a>, besides expanding staff, and consequently the number of assisted children and young, a psychotherapeutic department will be created from scratch, since this kind of care wasn\u2019t still available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Those families who were already in a vulnerable situation are now suffering even more severely due to the consequences of the pandemic. Besides the economic and employment difficulties, emotional and social impact has now been added, which can affect the children\u2019s personal and educational development negatively<\/em>\u201d, explains Mar\u00eda Francisca Perell\u00f3, director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation. \u201c<em>We have been in contact with the families on a daily basis since the crisis started, so we were able to continue the assistance online. We could also attend new needs, giving direct economic aids to the families worst affected or donations of school material and tablets. Now, thanks to this contribution from Endesa, we can go a step further and not only meet their basic needs but also improve the well-being of the children and their families in the long run<\/em>\u201d, adds Perell\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the outbreak of the crisis, Endesa has launched several initiatives to combat the effects of the crisis within the vulnerable populations.\u00a0 The donation given to the Rafa Nadal Foundation is part of the public responsibility plan implemented by the company, worth EUR 25 million and intended to alleviate the social and health consequences of the COVID-19 crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Our society needs that companies such as Endesa lead towards the exit of this health, economic and social crisis we are currently going through. We are well aware of the need to help every group that is part of it so the country can come out stronger, without leaving anybody behind<\/em>\u201d, claims Jos\u00e9 Bogas, managing director of Endesa. \u201c<em>In this case, we are lending a hand to those who are more experienced in helping the neediest, so they can expand their work and benefit more families.
