THE RAFA NADAL FOUNDATION HAS BEEN PRESENT AT THE FIRST CONGRESS OF CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY IN MALLORCA<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday, March 23 and Friday, March 24, the First Childhood and Family Congress was held in Palma de Mallorca, which focuses on the rights of children and adolescents as everyone’s responsibility. A congress promoted by the Insular Directorate for Childhood and Family of the Insular Council of Mallorca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These conferences were inaugurated by Catalina Cladera Cresp\u00ed, president of the Island Council of Mallorca, Jos\u00e9 Francisto Hila, mayor of Palma de Mallorca, Luc\u00eda Losoviz, general director of children’s and adolescent rights at the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda, and Josep Lluis Riera, Director of the Balearic Office for Children and Adolescents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Thursday and Friday morning, different presentations related to the protection of minors and the organic law for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents were developed, in addition to the presentation of the action plan for the implementation of the European child guarantee or the risk contexts and proposals for protection against child sexual exploitation in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, several experts have debated in the different round tables on issues related to positive parenting, the management of safe environments for the development of children and adolescents, access to basic rights of children, the naturalization of sexual violence among adolescents from pornography and many other issues related to childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the documentary “Arenas del Silencio” by Chelo \u00c1lvarez-Stehle was screened and the day closed with a discussion between different academics from the world of psychology, sociology and law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, Sof\u00eda Alonso Bigler, Executive Counselor for Social Rights and President of IMAS, and M\u00aa \u00c1ngeles Fern\u00e1ndez, Insular Director of Childhood and Family at IMAS, have been in charge of closing two very intense days in which guests and experts have shared experiences and discussed improvements in this area of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eunate G\u00f3mez, project manager at the Rafa Nadal Foundation, and \u00cd\u00f1igo Mart\u00ednez de San Vicente, director of the Rafa Nadal Foundation Center in Palma de Mallorca, were present at these conferences, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
