This recognition highlights the foundation&#8217;s efforts in promoting fundamental values through sports, reaffirming its commitment to the holistic development of children and young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards ceremony took place on December 20 at the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca, in a gala that celebrated the best athletes, teams, and organizations of the 2023\/2024 season across twelve different categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Recognizing the Impact of Values in Sport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rafa Nadal Foundation has been acknowledged for its work on projects that use sports as a tool for social inclusion, education, and the transmission of values such as effort, teamwork, perseverance, and respect. This award underscores the importance of fostering a sporting practice that goes beyond competition and becomes a driving force for positive societal change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Premis Esports IB: A Tribute to Balearic Sport<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Rafa Nadal Foundation, the Premis Esports IB 2024 recognized outstanding figures in Balearic sports, such as Marcus Cooper (canoeing) and Juana Camilion (3&#215;3 basketball) as the best athletes of the year, as well as the Avarca de Menorca Volleyball Club and Illes Balears Palma Futsal as the best female and male teams, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other honors, a lifetime achievement award was presented to several distinguished athletes who announced their retirement, including Rafael Nadal, for his remarkable career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Celebration of Sport and Values<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On December 20, the Premis Esports IB gala was an opportunity to celebrate sporting excellence, values, and the transformative impact of sports on our community.
