The Transformative Power of Sport

At the Rafa Nadal Foundation, we believe in a world where all children and young people can reach their full potential and have access to equal opportunities. We are X because our 10th anniversary commemorates ten years of commitment to improving our community. X symbolizes two axes that intersect and work together as essential tools: sport and education. X because each and every person who is part of our projects multiplies our efforts, and all endeavors bolster our values and objectives.

We Work for the People

Every small-but-mighty step we take holds the firm belief that our work helps the most vulnerable people. Hence, every single endeavor that we put forward is based on the people and our commitment to them.

More than Tennis

More than Tennis

In cooperation with Special Olympics, we have promoted the integration of people with intellectual disabilities into groups and into society. We use tennis to motivate sportspeople and to strengthen values like commitment, respect, and self-improvement.

With the More than Tennis group we often organize activities and go on excursions. We’ve become a great family, a team of friends who are always willing to have fun and learn together”.

We created spaces in Palma and Valencia where sport and education coexist among boys, girls, and teenagers. Our work aims at creating holistic, long-term impact at individual, family, and community levels.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation supported me academically and identified my strengths. I began feeling worthy and I found my talent”.

Study&Play

Study&Play

These scholarships were created with a specific objective in mind: promoting sports talent in Spanish students. We want to give a career boost to those who are committed to the required level of competitiveness, both in sport and education.

This scholars hip has opened many doors to me and I’d like to explore some of them before going back home. Every place in the United States is different and I’d like to continue exploring”.

NETS

NETS

We have been working in Anantapur (India) since 2010 in partnership with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation to improve the quality of life of children from vulnerable families in rural areas of the country. We offer them a comprehensive program that includes academic support in addition to reinforcing values such as equality and hard work.

NETS changed my life. I moved to be closer to the center and I became one of the best tennis players. My dream is to become an inspiration for other girls”.

Through NETS, we have been breaking down stereotypes and stigmas for ten years by means of sport, offering equal opportunities to help children face and change their social reality".

Anne Ferrer Perry, President of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation.

The RNF is dignity, common sense, sound judgment, good work, trust, reliability, caution, family, and affection. Being part of the foundation over the last ten years has been truly wonderful”.

Enric Blesa, General Director of Special Olympics Spain.

Fostering sport and academic talent in young people opens up a world of possibilities that they wouldn’t have without the support of the RNF”.

Marc Becker, Founder and CEO of I-Con sports.

We Want to Create Impact

Through our actions, projects, and programs, we want to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our work aims at providing inclusive access to education and moving forward towards reducing inequalities, in addition to guaranteeing good health and welfare for all the people we assist.

Health and Sport, First and Foremost

We believe that health and well-being go hand in hand with a lifestyle that includes habits like regular exercise, a balanced diet, good hygiene, and absence of addictions. Sport, one of our cornerstones, has many advantages other than being beneficial for our physical health. Since 2010, we have been working to meet SDG 3.

Partnerships for a Common Goal

We firmly believe in partnerships as joint efforts to achieve a common objective. We stand for networking in order to link and vertebrate the third sector, local actors in the fields of education, health, sport, and community. All our projects are partnership-based.
