Looking back, we can see how 2016
was a year that left its mark on the
development of the Foundation.
While some of the programmes
have reached full maturity, others of
more recent implementation have
already shown obvious, well-known
results with the children and how
they relate to their surroundings.
Using sport as a means, and not
as an end, is what has enabled
us to get this far. The practice of
sports is an integral part of every
one of our projects, always as a
vehicle for promoting the personal
development of young children,
strengthening cohesion between
them and helping to integrate them
into society. After eight years of
hard work, we know of no more
effective way to achieve this. Sport
is our best ally.
Yet the results we have achieved
are not the only reason for us to be
pleased, as never before have we
reached so many boys and girls.
There were around 800 participants
in our different projects in 2016, not
counting the attention we provide to
each of their families in Spain and
India.
Boththenumbersofbeneficiaries
and of the programmes carried
out have grown constantly since
the Foundation was created in
2008. Yet this growth has been
unhurried, occurring step by
step. We value a job well done,
being able to get involved in the
entire process of what we do,
relying on the most suitable
alliances in each case and
surrounding ourselves with the
best professionals. In short, for
us it is important to hold the
conviction that each path chosen
is the most appropriate, ever
enthusiastic and thinking in the
long term.
