The Rafa Nadal Foundation Center of Palma Team Participates in “Women, Physical Activity and Sport” Training

The Rafa Nadal Foundation Center of Palma Center team participated last Friday, March 6, in the professional training session “Women, Physical Activity and Sport”, organized by IBDONA – Balearic Women’s Institute and COLEF – Official College of Physical Education Teachers of the Balearic Islands, as part of the 8M International Women’s Day activities.

The RNFC Palma team attended the training in person to obtain the attendance certificate, reinforcing their commitment to gender equality and the promotion of physical activity among women of all ages.

The event, held at Cases d’Esment, Son Ferriol (Palma), brought together professionals and students from the sports, educational, health, psychology, and social sectors, with the aim of sharing knowledge and experiences on the relationship between physical activity and women’s well-being.

Topics covered included:

  • Gender perspective in physical education and sport.
  • Physical activity and the life cycle of women.
  • Physical activity and health in adult women.
  • Sport as a social instrument for women.
  • Management and training in physical activity and sport led by women.

The event featured expert speakers such as Pedrona Serra, Maria Rossich, Marta Colomer, Taty Ferrer, Mari Paz Cerdà, Merxe Batidor, and Isabel Calero, and concluded with the closing remarks of Sandra Fernández, Minister of Families, Social Welfare, and Care Services.

Through their attendance, the CFRN Palma team continues to train to offer inclusive, high-quality sports programs, promoting women’s health and empowerment through sport.
