Rafa Nadal Foundation and Baviera successfully carry out eye examinations for 412 children and teenagers across their three centres

• The Rafa Nadal Foundation and Baviera provided free eye examinations for children and teenagers at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centres in Valencia, Madrid and Palma during the 2025–2026 academic year.

• This partnership aims to prevent and detect potential vision problems, which are essential for the proper development, learning, and physical and emotional well-being of the children served.

• More than 400 children and teenagers benefited from eye examinations at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centres during this academic year.

• In total, since the partnership between both entities began, more than 800 children and teenagers have been attended to.

The Rafa Nadal Foundation, in collaboration with Baviera and Fundación Baviera Responsable, has completed a new edition of eye examinations for the children and teenagers who are part of the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centres in Valencia, Madrid and Palma.

These sessions, carried out throughout the 2024–2025 and 2025–2026 academic years, have made it possible to review the visual health of 412 minors (102 in Madrid, 117 in Valencia and 188 in Palma), reinforcing the commitment of both organisations to the well-being and comprehensive development of children.

The professional team from Baviera travelled to each of the centres to conduct the examinations, which took place on the following dates:

• 17–18 November: Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Valencia
• 16–17 December: Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Madrid
• 9, 10 and 11 March: Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Palma

During these sessions, children participated in comprehensive eye examinations aimed at detecting possible vision problems that could affect their academic performance and daily life.

Likewise, all the children attended will receive a pair of sunglasses to protect their eyesight. Those who present visual problems requiring a more in-depth ophthalmological examination will be attended at the clinics of Baviera. In addition, children who need prescription glasses will be able to obtain them completely free of charge at the designated optical centres associated with Fundación Ruta de la Luz, also in collaboration with Fundación OneSight EssilorLuxottica.

“Collaborations like this allow us to continue promoting initiatives that contribute to the well-being and holistic development of the children and teenagers who participate in the Rafa Nadal Foundation’s programmes,” highlights Eunate Gómez, Project Manager at the Rafa Nadal Foundation.

This joint initiative reflects the commitment of both organisations to the health, education and well-being of children. Early detection of vision problems is key to ensuring that children and teenagers can learn, study and develop under the best possible conditions.
