Las Fallas are much more than a festival. They represent culture, identity, neighbourhood and community.
At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Valencia, we wanted to experience them in a very special way through our Special Fallas School, held on the mornings of Monday 16th, Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th.
During these three days, the centre was transformed into a true neighbourhood ācasalā ā a space for connection, fun and coexistence for children and teenagers. A place to share, enjoy and feel part of something bigger.

The programme combined sport with recreational activities, creating a dynamic and participatory environment.
We organised sports tournaments that promoted values such as effort, teamwork and respect, alongside leisure spaces within the centre featuring table tennis, table football and board games, where laughter and connection took centre stage.
But the experience went beyond the centre itself. Over these days, children and their families explored the city to visit the different ninots, discovering one of Valenciaās most iconic traditions. These outings provided a unique opportunity to enjoy local culture, strengthen bonds and continue building community.
The final highlight was a very special day: a family street gathering with a shared meal, accompanied by outdoor sports activities. A moment to come together, celebrate and reinforce the strong sense of belonging that we value so highly.

In short, the Special Fallas School has been an experience that goes far beyond leisure. It has been an opportunity to build community, strengthen family ties and help every child feel part of a big family.
At the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre, we believe in the power of sport and education as tools for inclusion and growth, as well as in the importance of celebrating our traditions together.
