We celebrated San Isidro at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Madrid

We experienced a very special week at the Rafa Nadal Foundation Centre in Madrid to celebrate the San Isidro festivities. We were very excited to introduce this Madrid tradition to our children and families, and we truly enjoyed every activity we organised.

Throughout the week, we worked on the San Isidro theme during the educational activities.

Together, we decorated the Centre, and the educational team dressed up as traditional chulapos and chulapas to create an even more festive and fun atmosphere. Seeing the excitement of the children taking part in every detail filled the Centre with joy from the very first day.

One of the most special moments was the family day on Wednesday. The original idea was to celebrate it in the park and create our own San Isidro “meadow” there, but the risk of rain forced us to change plans and hold it at the Centre instead and the result was fantastic.

It was the first time we organised a family day inside the Centre, and the experience was wonderful. We transformed the space into a small fair with six different activities: skill games, table football, bingo, and many other proposals designed for everyone to enjoy together. Both the children and the families participated enthusiastically, and the atmosphere throughout the afternoon was incredible.

In addition, some families came dressed for the occasion, which made us especially happy and helped create an even warmer and more festive atmosphere.

These kinds of activities remind us of the importance of creating spaces for connection, coexistence, and fun within the Centre, where we can all continue building a community together.
