Success in the NETS Summer Camp

We have successfully carried out another Summer Camp as part of the NETS project (Nadal Educational Tennis School) that we developed in collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in India. During this summer camp, we had the opportunity to bring together over 250 children, providing them with a unique experience that combines tennis, educational activities in English and computer science, and most importantly, a lot of fun.

This annual event allowed us to reach out to more children from rural communities in India and offer them a safe and stimulating space where they could learn, grow, and enjoy healthy leisure time.

Our main goal is to promote access to the sport of tennis, thus fostering an active lifestyle and strengthening values such as teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect.

But the NETS Summer Camp went beyond simply teaching them how to play tennis. We also took the opportunity to provide them with educational activities in English and computer science, which will help them acquire fundamental skills for their future. We firmly believe in the importance of comprehensive education, and these complementary activities are designed to expand the learning opportunities for the participants.

In addition to our regular beneficiaries, we also invited other children from nearby areas to join our camp. This initiative had a dual purpose: firstly, we wanted to give them the opportunity to experience the benefits of sports and educational activities, and secondly, to promote inclusion and socialization among different groups in society.

In rural India, access to healthy leisure options is limited, and our Summer Camp provides boys and girls with a valuable and enriching alternative. Furthermore, we are proud to highlight that we also work to challenge gender stereotypes by encouraging girls to engage in sports. In a society where they still face stigmatization and barriers, it is crucial to provide them with equal opportunities and empowerment through sports.

The NETS Summer Camp has also proven to be a means of fostering social inclusion among different local communities. By bringing together children from diverse backgrounds, we have created a space where mutual respect, understanding, and collaboration are encouraged. We are confident that these positive and enriching interactions will help build a more cohesive and equitable society in the future.

We are proud to be part of this project and to be able to make a difference in the lives of these young people. Thanks to the collaboration between the Rafa Nadal Foundation and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation, we provide them with a transformative experience that will not only impact their lives in the short term but also lay the foundations for a promising future.

We firmly believe in the power of sports and education to change lives, and we are committed to continuing to build a bright future for the new generations.
